Beach Cabana & Western Boundary Wall Update

Cabana Update

Work on the Beach Cabana is progressing very well. The second floor was poured on Tuesday. Next steps are to remove support poles, pour the top of the elevator shaft and then start on the roof trusses.

Western Boundary Project

Construction started on April 19 with site preparation efforts performed by the local contractor (Salt Water Construction) beginning behind the homes bordering Diamond Sands and progressing to the four homes across Links Drive.  Major activities included the removal of existing wooden fence and pillars, installing the silt fence and removing trees and vegetation.  The wall contractor (Permacast) started work on April 26 placing columns, pouring concrete foundations for the columns and will begin installing wall panels shortly.  Note that before the wall panels are installed, the local contractor will perform grading of the area between the silt fence and the swail along Water Tower Road.  Beginning May 3, construction will move to the Sweetbriar portion of the new wall.  Construction is on schedule and, barring any unforeseen issues, completion is currently scheduled for May 28.
